Kiarash Kord

I am Kiarash Kord, a passionate in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). I completed my MSc in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Energy Conversion, at K. N. Toosi University of Technology. My thesis focused on enhancing the performance of J-shaped straight-bladed Darrieus vertical axis wind turbines using Gurney flaps. My academic journey was marked by excellence, earning full scholarships for both my undergraduate and graduate studies due to my high rankings in competitive exams. Currently, I am a CFD researcher, content creator, and engineer at CFDLAND, where I focus on ANSYS Fluent for complex studies involving Multiphase, Discrete Phase Model (DPM), DEM, etc. My work experience includes serving as a CFD engineer at MR CFD Group, where I simulated diverse fluid flow problems across various industries, including renewable energy, acoustics, and biomedical engineering. I have also shared my expertise by teaching fluid flow modules in ANSYS Fluent and serving as a teaching assistant for advanced fluid mechanics courses. My research interests lie in CFD, wind energy, fluid mechanics, and optimization, which are reflected in my publications in international journals. Additionally, I have gained industry experience through an internship at the Iranian Gas Transmission Company, where I honed my inspection skills and earned an ASNT NDT Level II inspection certificate.
